Description
There is only one prison from which escape is impossible - without outside help.
PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THE STORY! (It's just better that way.)
I was once given a college assignment to write a story that consisted of nothing but conversation - as if the room was bugged, you monitored the audio and all you could hear were sounds in the room. It had to tell the story without descriptions of the characters, the environment, the action, leaving it all up to the imagination of the reader. I found the assignment a delightful challenge and wrote a story that got an A. That story had nothing to do with freedom, but I liked the idea of doing another one, so used the excuse of the contest to do it.
Written from the perspective of a man who was tragically and severely injured, this is a story of his struggle for the only freedom he has left.

A bit confused in some places, but hey, what do you expect from a story that is pure dialogue. It's up to you to figure out whose speaking. It was a stroke of genius to make Bobby's dialogue full of lowercase letters and ellipses. It made it easier. And this story is exactly why I let my parents know that if this ever happened to me (ending up in a vegetable state) just to pull the plug. Just a great, thought-provoking peice. Though I do wonder how'd it be different if you didn't write it completely dialogue.
